(1) Estill County (4-0) vs. (4) Owsley County (2-4) -- Owns victory over #2 Powell County

(2) Powell County (3-2) vs. (3) Lee County (2-5) -- Owns tiebreaker over Owsley

 

Estill is well, Estill. Lady Engineers have owned this district and region since they joined back in 2006, only losing 3 region games. In district play since joining the 56th district, the Lady Engineers are 79-1 and have won the district every year. They are 112-3 against region opponents and have won the region every year expect for 3 years, that doesn't mean that they can't be beat because anyone can be beat on any given day.

 

Powell County and Estill County have met each year in the district finals and once maybe twice in the regional championship. Lady Pirates will be looking to upset the Lady Engineers.

 

Lee County and Owsley County are looking to upset both Estill and Powell to get to the regional tournament for the first time in a long time.

btw, Estill/Owsley was canceled tonight. Not sure if it will get made up. I'm assuming it won't since the district is already a lock.
