April 21, 201511 yr Minnesota leads St. Louis 2-1 in the best-of-seven first round series. The Minnesota defense really clamped down in this one, surrendering just 17 shots on the night.
April 21, 201511 yr St. Louis could get absolutely nothing going on offense. The first goal was one of the strangest goals I have seen in awhile. It really was like an empty net. Goal tender completely to one side of the net, Pominville just had to "tap it in." St. Louis was slow getting back and no defender to put a body on him at all. Blues better win game 4 or well................good luck next year. I will say both teams are hitting hard.
April 21, 201511 yr I will also say that building had to be shaking after the first goal was scored. The cameras were bouncing and it felt like I was bobbing up and down trying to watch the TV. Absolute mad house in Minnesota.

The Wild will go as far as the goaltending of Dubnyk and the scoring of the Parise-Granlund-Pominville line can carry them. That top line was great last night. Minnesota did a really good job of keeping the puck, something they did really poorly in Game 2. If the Blues can interrupt the puck movement in the way they did Saturday, this series could easily be level heading to Game 5. Minnesota doesn't have the scoring ability to power through somebody messing with the game plan like some teams do.
