Back about 3 weeks ago Jay Burgett was named the new head coach at MNH. I didn't see anything on this after looking back at threads. Jay played at Mayfield and then Murray State and was very successful at both. When speaking of Mayfield's greatest of all time Jay is always mentioned. Many may recall him in his Mayfield days as one of the 2002 state title teams key players. Jay was named MVP at last years alumni football game so he still has it. Jay played with as much intensity as anyone I have ever watched, he had that reckless abandon that makes for a huge motor. Congrats to Jay from this Mayfield Cardinal Fan.
