In a game that was kept close by some poor outfield play by Simon Kenton, SK beat Highlands by a score of 10 to 7. SK had a young man hit a 360 foot home run with two runners on to break the game open (with a wooden bat no less) but the SK outfield allowed Highlands back into the game. In the top of the seventh with runners on 1st and 2nd and only one out, the Highlands coach pulled in his outfield about 5 or 6 steps to cut down the runner if the batter got the ball through the infield, but his move backfired as the SK hitter hit one over the center fielder head to put SK ahead again......
