Another Final from the Mason County Tournament.

 

Dehoff threw the 1 hit shutout for the Devils. Keller for Mason was rolling along rather well until the 5th. A 2 out bases loaded triple by Lemmings got the Devils on the board, then a Solo HR by Potter in the 6th. Dehoff carried a no hitter into the 7th inning, but it was spoiled by a single up the middle with one out.

 

Russell will play in the Championship game tomorrow night at 6pm against Bourbon County.

Surprised that Russell beat Keller. Did Keller run out of gas or did his defense self destruct?

Really neither. In the 5th inning, he started the inning with a walk, then he made an error on a throw to 1st of a bunt, then he walked the third batter to load the bases, then Russell's lead off hitter got a bases clearing triple. Justin Potter had a solo HR in the 6th.
