At work right now, but I'll answer tonight once I'm off in a longer post unless someone beats me to it. I think the best answer for it is "it depends", though I know that isn't really satisfying the question.

 

In the situation you mentioned, Woods is a shooter and a dangerous player. If it's him, I don't change the game plan so long as it's effective. Shooters can get hot at any moment, even if it's a trip to the free throw line that makes the basket look a little bigger. A kid like that, you don't give him the opportunity to shoot out of a slump and regain some confidence.

 

If it's more of a role player, then that analysis definitely changes.

That is a real good answer, Joker! I don't think Woods ever lost his confidence that game; he kept on firing. LOL! Real good shooters are always confident the next shot is going in. Being a coach's son, and having his shooting ability, I suppose there are some coaches at the next level who are hoping Woods will run the high ball screen for them. Does any one have word on his recruetment?

Back to the topic at hand, if it's a kid like Woods and you are doing something to slow him down and it's working, I personally have a hard time stopping it until you have to.

 

Maybe a good place to take this discussion from here would be talking about who some of the better tandems in the State are in terms of ball screen action?

I am off to Bowling Green. Hopefully, I will see Russel Springs derive some satisfaction with a victory over Warren Central. In 2013, Russell earned the regional title with heart and hustle, but the banner was AWARDED to Central, by the striped-shirt triumvirate. I will watch for ball-screen action. The guard from Clinton, Dalton, is well equiped and they start 6-7,6-8 up front.
