Friday night from Owsley County High School at 7 PM.

 

56th District Championship.

 

Estill county defeated Powell County twice earlier in the season and had the Pirates down 25 at one point in the game at Estill before Powell made a run in the 4Q to get back into it.

 

These two teams have met for the district crown for the past 3-4 years with Powell winning every year except for 1.

 

Estill County (17-9) averaging 56.6 points per game while allowing 48 points per game

 

Powell County (13-15) averaging 59.4 points per game while allowing 60.3 points per game

 

Estill County has won 4 straight and 8 of their last 10.....Powell County has won 1 and has won 5 of their last 10 games.
