15th Region COY Announced

Tommy McKenzie of Johnson Central High School has been named the KABC 15th Region COY (1st ordinal) by his peers. Congratulations to Coach McKenzie as he does a wonderful job year in and year out!

I have attached a list of all 15th Region COY's (Boys and Girls) along with All 15th Region POY's (Boys and Girls). If anyone can fill in the piece of information I am missing on the Girls POY (1999) it would be greatly appreciated.

 

Another point of interest is that Tommy McKenzie has been named KABC POY and KABC COY for Johnson Central. Has anyone else won both awards in their career? For the same school or two different school's? Thanks in advance!

Would the girls POY award in 99 have been someone from Shelby Valley? They went 30-4 that year. Just guesssing they maybe could have had the best player also.

Would the girls POY award in 99 have been someone from Shelby Valley? They went 30-4 that year. Just guesssing they maybe could have had the best player also.

 

I thought the same thing, but cannot find a definitive answer. I condensed this list from the KABC website and they have nothing listed for 1999 15th Region Girls. Perhaps something happened that year and it was not awarded (i.e. no coaches voted, etc.). I was hoping someone might have an old Sweet Sixteen program from 1999 that might have it or something along those lines. It would complete the list.
