Notre Dame is much better than their record shows and has plenty of talent in the program. I was really impressed with #14 Hellman who was 7/10 from the field and tallied 20 points. She was hampered with foul trouble ending the game with 4 fouls. SHA was lucky to hold #40 Smith to 8 pts. SHA ramped up post defense.

 

I was concerned with how SHA would respond after losing one of their senior guards to injury in their last game. They responded with some great play by their freshman with Berger turning in another quality game. (20 pts on 7/14 FG, 7reb, 3 asst) The other freshman K. Samsel opened up a tied game in the fourth quarter with 4 minutes left by hitting back to back 3's giving SHA a 6 point lead. She went 4/4 from the line at the end of the game to seal the W.

 

Wouldn't surprise me to see ND in the mix of winning their region at the end of the year.
