Final from Meinken in covington

Anthony Denk got the W for Holmes despite some shaky pitching. Steve Morrison got the save. Both teams had first game jitters at first then Holmes bats came around.

Ryan Roberts hit a clutch two out triple that was an absolute shot off the left center fence in the bottom of the first to take a 2-1 lead and the bat dawgs never looked back. the top 5 hitters for holmes looked solid

Good to see Holmes hit the ground running this year.

Fielding was a little shaky since it was only their 3rd time being on the field but other than that they looked solid. Their 1-5 hitters all had two hits i think except for Roberts but after his first hit they tried to pitch around him..he ended up with 2 walks after the triple

How'd morrison look at the plate?

i believe he was 1 for 4
