Class A track predictions

Featured Replies

What are peoples predicitions for this years Class A track? There are a lot of good teams/individuals returning, and with Fort Campbell in the mix, what will happen?

Fort Campbell has been down somewhat the past few years. A northern Kentucky team will win the girls title and Bardstown looks ready to make it a three-peat for the boys.

I think Fort Campbell will make it a sweep at State...unfortunately. They are talented and DEEP in both boys & girls. Their distance runners, though never outstanding overall, have improved and that is where Badstown will fall behind in the boys standings. For the girls St. Henry, Brossart, and Fairview can't hang with Ft. C in the sprints. If they are lucky Danville, Russellville, and Fulton County may bring them down a few notches within reach.

Lyon County has joined Class A Track and Ft. Knox has dropped down also. Has anyone else joined the party, and what impact will they have?

If Fulton County can get Sharika Smith some help and find someone to score in a distance event, they could surprise some people.

I'm not sure who else dropped down to Class A, but Bardstown looks very hard to beat despite a few key losses from last years team and the addition of quality newcomers to the class. Don't forget about Trigg Co. either. They are very solid and return some studs. Danville, Bishop, and Harrodsburg are very dangerous teams as well. For the girls, the usual suspects seem to be good again. Bishop, St.Henry, Fairview, Danville.....Should be an exciting year for all. Does anyone know what region Fort Campbell is in? Fort Knox? Will this have an impact on other teams getting as many entries into the state meet?
