polarbear98
Mason Co. came out on fire going up 15-2. Bracken chipped away for the next two quarters but a late Mason Co run put the game out of reach. At one point in the fourth Bracken had trimmed the lead to three. Scoring as follows Mason Co.: Omera 11 Butler 8 Green, Littleton, McNutt 7 Boone 6 Fridge 3 Bracken Co.: Cummins 11 Jones 9 Florer 5 Carl 4 Macy Jefferson 3 Ruf, Collins 1 Mason improves to 2-1 while Bracken falls to 3-1. sumoroyal
Bracken played zone the entire game and Mason did not shoot the ball very well. Mason also threw passes into Bracken due to trying to throw over the defender almost every time. Mason needs to work on bounce passes!!! A win is a win. sumoroyal
After I posted I checked and Mason shot 41% which was much better than I thought. Played better than I thought but need to work on passing.
THEBUZZERBEATER
Bracken had a great game plan and if anything could be taken away from the game from Bracken County is that they could have folded up the tent after the 15-2 start, being on the road and laid a bigger egg. They did not, while an inexperienced team, they can use this game to build on and get more game confidence. Second game in as many nights for Bracken, game was closer than the final score indicates. This!!! Coach Kelsch will have the girls ready for Friday night when St. Pat comes to the igloo. One thing for sure he will have the girls back at in pratice today and they will improve with the experience they gained by playing a team of Mason Co. caliber. THEBUZZERBEATER
It will be a good bounce back game for Bracken as I don't anticipate much of a challenge from a young and more inexperience St. Pat team. As far as Mason County is concerned, this team after observing really is still searching for an identity and looks like they are truly missing leadership. They are talented and I hope for the best for them this season as well as Bracken.
