Basketball season for 2014/2015 should provide another exciting year. What should we expect from Central . Remember, please be constructive.

 

As always central will play very aggressive on defense. Their back court did receive a boost with Waggener PG Brandon Wells transferring in. Not a ton of size and will be guard heavy. Will make it out of districts but could be the year Shawnee and their 9 Sr. over takes them.

Central will be much improved if Brandon Wells is eligible to play. He is moving from Waggener to Central. Central is a Magnet school, therefore Central has no resides area for him to move into. Manual has the same issue. So if a player played any varsity basketball at their previous school they are required to sit out a year.

 

That being said Central looked very good this summer. They also have a 6'4 Junior transfer from Jeffersonville Indiana that should help. He gives them some much needed size. They are an extremely quick and aggressive team that shoots the 3 very well. I don't anticipate Shawnee passing them up this season. I also feel Manual should win the district again with 6 seniors returning from their district championship team last year.

If Wells has to sit out a year, why did he transfer? I do know there is better coaching at Central but with the talent that Waggner has/had, they should be making some noise in the region. He is not currently listed on Central or Waggner roster but that information might not be completely updated yet.
