Trinity 43 Colerain 7 (JV)

For those of you who follow this sort of thing.

Colerain's lone TD came on a pass that a Trinity DB deflected into the air. The Colerain wideout hauled it in and went 15 or so yards after the catch for the score. Freshman Manny Harper made contributions on both sides of the ball and in the kicking game. The sophomore Smith twins, Jovel and Jovan, and junior Jody Osborne also made significant plays to lead the Rocks. Spencer Blackburn went the distance at quarterback for Trinity. The running clock mercy rule came into play late in the third quarter.

This game shows the difference in depth between the two schools.

All of Colerain's quality sophomores played on Friday night. And with less kids than Trinity, by far, there just isn't much left to play on Junior Varsity.

I do hope these schools continue the series. Despite the JV and Varsity losses, it is a pleasure to play such a well coached and talented program.
