RACELAND Josh Young is getting acclimated to his new role as Raceland’s quarterback. It helps the process along when you when you have a target like Connor Messer.

Young accounted for five of his team’s six touchdowns, throwing for four and running for another as Raceland cruised to a 41-14 victory over Boyd County on Saturday night at Rams Stadium.

“Josh has always had the ability,” Raceland coach Michael Salmons said. “He has really matured mentally and emotionally. Those two things have taken his game to another level.

“He is a two-way starter for us and never comes off the field. We are really happy with him. He has relished this opportunity and he is taking advantage of it."

On a night when Raceland inducted six new members into its Raceland Legends Hall of Fame, Young went 17 of 33 for 205 yards and threw three scoring strikes to Messer and one to Nick Caldwell.

Shouldn't have used the word bash but say take them to the woodshed. I believe Raceland is a contender this year.

^ How about "Rammed" ? :lol2:

To be honest, I think it was a play on words:

Ram Reunion + Hall of Fame Induction + Football game = a bash.

Just my thought.
