sportsfan08
With the KHSAA taking over is there one? If a kid goes to 7th grade at a particular school and changes to a different school without moving are they eligible?

sportsfan08
I did, but it doesn't answer my question. What about moving middle schools between an independent and county school in the same county. Independent as a 7th grader and county school as an 8th grader? Can they still play middle school sports or is there a rule that requires them to sit out?
Ram
It was answered the best it could be. To everyone's knowledge, there is not such rule to inhabit eligibility for school attendance and athletic participation for junior high athletes. It has been discussed, but no rule as of yet. Eligibility does not come into question until a player is in grade nine or higher and when that student has participated in a sport at grade nine or higher. JokersWild24
Another suggestion that was mentioned in the previous thread was to call the KHSAA and inquire for yourself about moving in a way that preserves eligibility.
