The Breds only committed 2 errors in this one, compared to 3 for Notre Dame, but the Panda's capitalized on 11 NewCath walks combined with 16 hits and that means lots of runs. Notre Dame's Amanda Meagher was the star in this one, going 5-5 with 4 RBI. Laura Finke chipped in going 4-6 with 2 RBI. Abby Jones goes the distance for the victory.

The Thoroughbreds (17-8) struggled against the 9th Region champs Monday.

The Pandas outhit the Thoroughbreds, 16-7 and capitalized on 11 walks. Kristen Schreiber led NewCath going 2-for-4 with Morgan Martini and Loren Zimmerman adding doubles.

NewCath travels to Campbell County on Tuesday. Game time is 5 p.m.
