E.C. Lady Engineers Varsity refused to relinquish the lead after grabbing it early against Model, recording an 11-3 victory on Tuesday at Madison Co.

The game was decided quickly as E.C. Lady Engineers Varsity exerted its will early with five runs in the first three innings.

An RBI single by Taylor W in the first inning and an RBI double by Kaylee I and a two-run home run by Kennedy F during the second inning fueled E.C. Lady Engineers Varsity's offense early.Kennedy racked up four RBIs on four hits for E.C. Lady Engineers Varsity.

Michaela G baffled Model, striking out six batters. Michaela allowed no earned runs on 10 hits and no walks over seven innings.

E.C. Lady Engineers Varsity got one-run rallies in the third inning and the fourth. In the third, E.C. Lady Engineers Varsity scored on an RBI single by Michaela, scoring Taylor.

E.C. Lady Engineers Varsity increased its lead with three runs in the sixth. Kennedy doubled, scoring Haley B and Bethany H to start the inning.
