Campbell County took advantage of a couple errors and jumped out to a quick 3-0 lead. Holy Cross bounced back in their half of the first, cutting the lead to 3-2 on a ground-out by Clement, but could get no closer.

 

Becca Ruschell pitched well in defeat. Freshman Courtney Turner went 3-3 with a double and an RBI.

 

Shortstop Alehia Tucker made a fine play at short, smothering a hard hit ball on her knees and bouncing up to throw the runner out by a 1/2 step.
