Six unearned runs in the 1st inning led to the 'Stangs easy 11-1 win in 5 innings Thursday night in Alexandria.

The Indians only run came in the top of the first. Tucker led off with a double and promptly scored on a throwing error on a ground ball by the 2-hitter Veronica Specht. Courtney Turner followed with a walk but Brossart got out of the inning with no further damage. Pretty uneventful from there. Very sloppy game defensively by the young Indians.

Clement took the loss. Her record falls to 1-2 on the year.

The Lady Stangs looked much better today. They are coming together more every game. The Stangs centerfielder looks very good out there and is getting better every game I see her. Should be a fun year.

I was looking for JMU:watching:I thought he may be there watching his old team go at the Stangs. Maybe he will appear at the Pete Noll Tourny:idunno:

We are playing much better ... feel much better after seeing poll that all 3 of our losses have come to Top 20 Teams. Ballard is a definite State Contender

I am only coming to HS games where the parents have a cooler full of beer and chicken wings for me!!

Not sure about the Pete Noll. Think I might just jump in car and head to SC to watch some ball.

Good luck to both teams.
