Estill County 3 Powell County 2

Featured Replies

Final from Estill County

Powell County (1-4): 000-020-0 -- 2, 7, 3

Estill County (7-0): 003-000-x -- 3, 6, 4

Jacob Tuttle improves to 3-0, throwing another CG while striking out 11. Over his first 3 games, Jacob has struck out right around 35-36 batters.

Jacob Hall started for the Pirates, throwing a CG while striking out 5. Hall goes to 1-1 (assuming he threw in the win against Lee County)

Dylan Morton (Powell County) had the only extra base hit for either team and that came in the 7th with 2 outs, which was a double

Estill got things started in the 3rd on a walk, 3 straight hit batters that pushed across the first run, an RBI ground out made it 2-0 Estill and a passed ball allowed the third run to come across the plate.

Powell County came back and scored two in the 5th inning on an error by Estill's right fielder. Powell County had runners on 2 & 3 with 2 out in the 6th but Tuttle's 8th K got the Engineers out of a jam. Tuttle would strike out the first 2 batters in the 7th, give up the double to Morton, then he would strike out the next batter to end the game.

Estill County will host Bourbon County, in a battle of the unbeatens while Powell County will host Wolfe County tomorrow.
