The Mason County Royals captured their 20th win of the season Wednesday, beating Robertson County 79-47.

Senior Shawn Johnson led the way for Mason County with 13 points and six rebounds. No other Royals broke double figures but 12 different Mason players scored during the game, including nine apiece from juniors Kamryn Caudill and Dorian Henry.

Ryan Johnson, Cameron Frame, Antwavan "Pig" Williams, Will Griffith and Jake O'Mara each accounted for six points.

Senior forward Darren Edwards led the charge for Roberson County with 20 points. Robertson's Myles Murphy was the game's leading rebounder with nine.

Mason got on top earlier and and controlled the pace of the game throughout. The sizable advantage allowed Mason County coach Chris O'Hearn to cycle in some reserve players.

"At this time of the year, usually you're rotation is pretty well set," O'Hearn said. "It's good for our program to be able to reward those guys. They've worked hard all year long and they got to go out on the floor and show what they can do. We've got some guys that have good parts to their game and they got a chance to showcase that tonight."
