Shelby County 69 Lloyd 59

Final from Erlanger.

Sloppy start for both. The Rockets took control in the 2nd quarter and lead by 10-15 the rest of the way. Gordon IV had a big night for the Rockets. They are pretty deep. They play 8-10 players not much of a drop off. The Juggs hung in but had too many turnovers. Cooper/Shelby Co. tomorrow at 6:15

What kind of height does Shelby have. That seems to be the weekness of Cooper currently.

Shelby has decent size and hit the boards well tonght. I saw both Cooper and Shelby. I believe the Rockets will have difficulty with Cooper's pressure, but hey are deeper talent wise from just one game mind you. It really should be a good game. Cooper was smoking hot in the first 4 minutes, then leveled off. They started the second half just woeful offensively but got a spurt creating turnovers with about two minutes left and coasted from there. Shelby was actually ahead by 18 with a minute to go and Lloyd stole a couple of passes and hit 2-3 three's to make the game seem closer than it really was. Cooper's size is a deficit against most. They are not big at all, but they play really hard and are fundamentally sound.

I just looked Shelby up on the website and saw this was their first win. They seemed to play pretty weel. Lloys may have been their weakest competition.
