Final tonight

SK looked better on O tonight. A good mixture of run and pass. The QB played very well I thought. Nice passes to receivers tonight also. The D played well once they quit just keying on the tailback from Dixie, which is a very good player and has great speed. #4 for SK played great tonight, had a receiving TD and a Int. Some key tackles also. All around good game Pioneers.

Congrats to the Pioneers on the 44-28 win. The fans got their monies worth this evening in Independence.

 

Colonels were up 22-16 at the half. Dixie moved the ball well in the first half and had an opportunity to pull ahead 3 TDs when in the red zone a pass was deflected and intercepted by SK which capitalized on the turnover, drove the field and scored to cut it to 22-16.

 

A lot of holding on both sides of the ball throughout the game. With this ref crew if it wasn't a take down, it was fair play! SK coaching staff did a good job motivating their kids at the half. SKs offensive line provided good protection and allowed SK to move the ball at will in the second. SK QB made the play of the game in the late in the third quarter when he escaped being in the grasp of a Dixie defender, then broke to the flat were he found a wide open WR waiting patiently on the goal line for about a 30 yd TD. That was the back breaker.

 

SK went up a score on that play and added another TD for good measure to ice it midway through the 4th quarter. Three deflected passes caught for interceptions by SK was key.

 

Dixie was led by Cameron Barrett with 3 TDs and Bailey James with 1 TD. Someone from SK please help me with the name of their QB #15 and RB #26, both played very well! Vance #4 for SK was a consistent play maker as well on both sides of the ball.

 

SK improves to 5-3, Dixie drops to 3-3. BTW, couldn't of asked for a better night weather wise for a football game.

It was a great night of football! SK is actually 5-2 and the SK QB #15 is Tanner Green and RB #26 is Dylan Hampton.
