The Breds varsity played tough tonight losing the 1st two games 25-21 & 25-17...then winning the 3rd 25-18, before going down in game four, don't remember the score. Both the frosh and jv go down 2-0. Tates Creek has a few big ones, including one that went about 6'4" and hit the :poop: out of the ball.

 

BTW, the temp in the gym was much more bearable this evening. The Tates Creek players and parents looked like tourist tonight, snapping pictures of the view of downtown Cincinnati from the "hill".

That girl has been playing varsity since the 7th grade. Flat out stud who smashes the ball. But she's a good all round player too. Serves well and plays back row real well. She killed us when we played them.

I agree that girl can slam a ball like crazy but I disagree with the all around part. I felt her defense was slow & her serving very inconsistent!! She has been playing varsity since 7th grade because of her talent & size

(6ft tall at 12!!) but her father is also on the volleyball coaching staff at UK so I'm sure she was bred to play!!!

You may know or seen more of her but she played back row extremely well against us and killed it on her serve on a consistent basis. Might of had the game of her life against us. I haven't seen a lot of her, just going off of what I saw when we played her. :thumb:

Haha...Oh no doubt she is fun to watch which is why I stayed to watch her play Conner after Cooper beat her!! She wasn't able to hit much past Cooper's block so I figured she'd have no problem against Conner. I think she may have been tired Friday night because Saturday she was a beast!! She's good all around but if she has a weakness I'd say it might be her lack of speed on defense!! Of course given her 6'4 size she can stretch longer than most to pass a ball!!
