Basketball season for 2013/2014 should provide another exciting year. What should we expect from Middlesboro ? Remember, please be constructive.

Sleeper team last year who came on late in the postseason and made the regional semi-final.

 

Their guard play should key the team again this year, with a pair of athletic guards in Donnie Foister and Austin Poindexter leading the charge.

 

Middlesboro can put up lots of points in a hurry, but one of the main criticisms of their team last year was that their style of play was frantic to the point that they were sometimes prone to playing a little too out of control and reckless. I would imagine that finding a way to cut down on turnovers and/or developing an inside presence would be necessary if they were to have the goal of getting to Rupp.
