Neighbors Garrard County and Lincoln County meet in Stanford. Both teams are 1-2.

Lincoln has won seven of the last eight meetings between the teams. Mr. Network or gchsuk9 can surely fill in more series details than I have readily available.

Lincoln Co. 27-25.

Lincoln County leads the 28 game series 19 to 9. The first game was in 1974, when Lincoln County High School opened as the consolidated school of Crab Orchard, Hustonville, McKinney, Memorial and Stanford. Garrard County had consolidated about 10 years earlier. This rivalry goes back to the schools' predecessors, Stanford and Lancaster. Gchsuk9 and I are researching the series but we know it dates to at least 1903.

Lincoln Co wins 28-21.

I knew I could count on some of the best football SIDs/historians in the state. I have some of your records; I just didn't have them in front of me at 2:30 in the morning.

Garrard County has been starting strong and Lincoln County finished strong last week. Maybe this will be a tale of two halves?
