CANNONSBURG — After a heartbreaking, overtime loss last week, there was a chance that Raceland could experience a letdown on the road against Boyd County Saturday.

 

What happened was just the opposite.

 

The Rams scored two defensive touchdowns and racked up 323 yards of total offense as it cruised to a 47-7 victory in Cannonsburg on Saturday night.

 

“That’s always what you have to fight against,” said Raceland coach T.J. Maynard when asked about his team’s mindset. “Our kids played so hard last week and lost a tough battle (35-34 against Ashland). You have to come out and make sure you’re ready to play on Friday nights.”

:thumb: They (Rams) came out to make a statement and did just that. Put that team away early. Never let a team that is not as good as you think that they may have a chance or they just may take that chance and make a game of it.
