Covington Catholic 2 East Central (IN) 1

Featured Replies

The Colonels bounce back from the disappointing tie to beat a pretty good East Central Indiana club.

Colonels controlled most of the first half but the Trojans scored first to go up 1-0 at half. CCH had their chances but could not capitalize.

CCH came out strong in the second half and Colin Cummins jumped a pass by the Trojan defense and buried a 20 yard unassisted left footer into the back of the net.

Second (winning goal) was started by a nice run by outside defender Michael Wessels who passed up to Dan Chal who made a corner run. Chal took one touch and sent his second touch across the goal to Jacob Litzler who outside footed a volley over the keep and into the net.

Both teams threatened after that but no one connected.....

groinpull,

What are you're thoughts on the game?

No offense Oldtime.

That's ok....but what a waste of a first post.......... Welcome to the party.

I was not at the game but heard that the Colonels played very well. I think they will have their hands full with Garbig and David-Roberts with Highlands. If they keep those two off the scoring sheet I think they have a good chance at a win tomorrow. Hopefully CCH will be at full strength tomorrow.
