Another week has passed in the 2013 Kentucky High School Football Season. Here’s a recap of all the action from Friday Night.

 

- Somerset went into Pond Creek looking to knock off the Belfry Pirates on their own home field, but that didn’t happen as Belfry steam rolled to victory 37-12.

 

- Mike Holcomb went to 2-0 in his first season as Letcher Central head coach, as his Cougars defeated McCreary Central easily, 56-0, in the ARH Football Classic at Letcher County Central High School.

 

- Perry County Central fell to 1-1 on the season as they were demolished by the Corbin Redhounds, 36-8 in the Cumberland Falls Pigskin Classic at Corbin High School.

 

- Estill County has lost 14 straight dating back to 2011 as the Engineers fell to the Lexington Christian Eagles, 33-14.

- Rockcastle County falls to 0-2 on the season as West Jessamine ran past the Rockets 48-19.

 

- Hazard fell in the Dawgs season opener to Pikeville (62-50) as the Panthers go to 2-0 on the season. This was part of the Community Trust Pike County Bowl, this game was played at Pikeville.

 

- In his debut as a head coach, Kyle Moore got win #1 as his Breathitt County Bobcats rolled to victory over Jackson County 47-14 in the KRMC Honey Bowl at Mike Holcomb Athletic Complex, Breathitt County High School.

 

- The Golden Eagles of Johnson Central got off to a good start in the Eagles season opener as they demolished Holy Trinity Canada, 67-7.

 

- Powell County went to 2-0 after defeating Magoffin County 28-20.

 

- After defeating Bath County, Paris seen his first loss of the season as the Greyhounds were defeated by Shelby Valley 22-19, part of the Community Trust Pike County Bowl at Shelby Valley.

 

- Pike County Central was dismantled as Elijah Bell and the Henry Clay Blue Devils rolled to victory 52-14.

 

 

Other Scores from Friday Night:

 

Bath County defeated West Carter 53-45 in OT.

 

Leslie County defeated Knott County Central 41-24

- Belfry travels to Coal Miner Stadium to take on the Harlan County Black Bears.

- Breathitt County will be home hosting the dangerous Bourbon County Colonels.

- Letcher County Central will be on the road traveling to Hazard to take on the Bulldogs.

- Estill County will have yet another home game as the Engineers will host Jackson County.

- Bath County will travel to Lewis County to take on the Lions.

- Rockcastle County travels to London to take on the South Laurel Cardinals.

- Pikeville travels to Paintsville to take on the Tigers.

- East Ridge travels to Shelby Valley.

- Pike County Central travels to Williamsburg.
