Since Brossart missed the preview in the local paper, I thought I'd share the following preview and schedule.

 

The Bishop Brossart Boys Soccer team returns ten seniors to this year’s squad. Forwards Jacob Jennings and Eli Nienaber will attempt to help their team put points on the score board, while senior midfielders Drew Berkemeyer, Mitch Parnell, Andrew Graus, and Drew Miller play a the dual role of both scoring points while also playing a defensive role. Senior defenders Jonathan Geiman, Luke Ridder, and Josh Keuper will attempt to hold the opposing forwards at bay, while Brossart senior goalie, Andrew Erickson will defend his team’s goal.

Underclassmen, that will be called on to help their team, include junior forwards Nick Dierig and Matt Smith, midfielders Evan Berkemeyer, Jacob Frommeyer, Jon Henn, Chase Hauke, Matteo Morrison, and Gabe Roberts, and defender Mark Goller, and goalie Jeff Paulin. Sophomores include forward Joey Hickman, midfielders Dylan Geiman and Sam Parnell, and defenders Jake Frommeyer (yes, there are two Jake Frommeyer’s on the team), and Justin Schultz.

The Mustangs are coming off a successful season last year losing to Harrison County in the regional semi-finals. Brossart graduated some seniors last year who played key roles in the team’s success. The key to this year’s team will be whether the Mustangs can step up and fill those roles.

lol TAC .. I don't know much about the Mustangs, but I'm sure their goal will be to put as many points on the board as possible!!

 

just kiddin' ya .. glad to see you in the new Soccer Forum, and thanks for posting a great preview about BBHS. Despite the loss of some great players, the cupboard is not bare in LA and Coach Goller always does a great job with that program!! GOOD LUCK to the Mustangs!
