Congrats to Coach Baioni and the players.

Good job by the Dirty Birds taking care of business in District.

 

They jumped out early, added on, survived a shaky 3rd inning and then finished strong.

 

2 strong innings on the mound by SO Jones, followed by the shaky 3rd by SO Martin. However, he bounced back strong in the 4th and 5th to close things out.

 

SR Molina started the game with a HR (at least that is what I heard, got there later in the T1) and SRs Schultz and Murray hit the ball hard.

 

Dirty Birds will face the winner of the 4 v. 5 game (likely Newport v. Dayton based on the results I have seen) and the 2 v. 3 game (presumably NewCath v. Bellevue) will be played on the opposite side. Winners face each other for the District title and both go to the 9th Region tourney.
