Region 2 is going to be a close one this year.

The region is about as wide open as it ever has been.

 

Madisonville took advantage of six Christian County errors to beat them last week. Christian County had already edged Livingston by a run. Henderson has a strong team again this year, and UHA and Hopkins Central both feature young teams that can surprise with the right draw.

I think you have to add Union Co into the mix as well, they have beat Christian Co 5-3 and only lost to both Central and Livingston by 1 run.

 

Your right about the Christian Co game we did take advantage of the 6 errors, we also took advantage of Heather Webb pitching performance. 4 Hits, 1 Walk, 12K's, 1 ER while working around her teams 5 errors.

 

Union Co and Henderson play twice this week and Hopkins Co. Central plays Livingston Central tonight.

 

Madisonville still has 5 regional games left on the schedule, 6 if they can get together with Central on a makeup date.

Union Co beat Henderson 3-1 tonight and Livingston Central beat Central 6-1. We pitched our #3 tonight against Webster Co won 9-4. Webb hit her 3rd HR of the seson tonight.

Henderson and Union both threw #2's in the first mtg. Why? Don't know. Guess we know now since Henderson came back and won the second meeting. They get the automatic bye into the district finals. Union should not have any problems with Webster.

From talking to friends from both places the are doing a rotation. Which we are doing a 3 pitcher rotation but we have been pitcher heather against ranked teams

Just read today, Union committed 4 errors in the first 2 innings. Either way, winner loser of district 6, no easy draw. Hate to say it, but there isn't an easy draw in the second region except one; if the top two teams from each district make it.

 

You got the top 8 in your thread, if there isn't an upset somewhere in the opening round.
