A high school utilizes an 8th grader to play varsity ball at shortstop. Is there any prohibition on that 8th grader also playing for his middle school baseball team? Assume that there is no specific school or middle school association rule prohibiting it. What about any KHSAA rule? I see nothing in Bylaw 4 that prohibits it.

It is my understanding that it is the schools decision. I've seen 8th graders play middle school if they were playing Freshmen because they usually don't play that many high school games. If they are playing varsity, I would think they wouldn't.
