Real nice game with impressive shooting by both teams, especially in the early goings. Breckinridge Co. lead almost the entire game. Both teams had multiple opportunities to seal the deal in OT, but either didn't connect on their FT's or made unwise decisions. Ultimately Owensboro Catholic grabbed the edge with little time on the clock and Breckinridge Co. connected on a lay up that would've won the game, but it went in about a half a second too late.

 

Owensboro Catholic goes on to face Ohio County in the 3rd Region Finals who was a 60-57 winner over Owensboro.

It sure was. I don't typically follow either one of these teams. They both played their guts out and it was hard to see either one of them lose.

I'm no authority on such things but both of these teams appeared to me to be much better than their rankings might suggest.
