I got to see the first game in the WYMT (@PCC), and really didn't see this score coming, despite Clay County beating Breathitt County and then seeing BC and PCC play a bit closer.

 

This was the second game between the two, and I thought that in the first game (WYMT Mountain Classic @ PCC), PCC had solved CC in the second half and would carry that momentum into this one. Their first meeting was also one of the first games where Johnson was eligible, and now he's had time to transition in. Also, Spurlock was so familiar with CC (he coached there until the 2009 - 2010 season).

 

All things considered, this is definitely a signature win for Clay County.

 

Looks like they, along with Corbin, have begun to slightly separate themselves from the rest of the pack. In the last calendar month, their has only been one loss between them, so both appear to be peaking at the right time.
