From the Woodford Co tourney. Score at the half was 26-16. At the half the game was getting ready to start and GRC only had 4 players on the floor. Coach starting looking and Riley Caudill was missing. He started Luke Sharrock. In a few minutes Riley came out of the dressing room, he was sick. He tried to play the 3rd Q, but didn't not play the 4th.

Congrats to Woodford on the win!!!!

GRC will play the looser of the Scott Co/ Dunbar game.

Thanks Q. You are right our schedule is brutal. We have played several ranked teams. Next tourney is the Lex. Cath tourney. Not sure who we play in that one yet.

Gonna be a long year for the Cards! They really don't have anyone that can score. And NO size

Gonna be a long year for the Cards! They really don't have anyone that can score. And NO size

When Roberts returns the first of the year, he will help alot in the scoring. Agree on the size, we are very small.

The Cardinals, fighting a flu illness that has spread within the team camp, scored the first bucket of the contest, but trailed 13-11 by the end of the opening quarter. Clark failed to make a field goal in the second frame and scored all of its points from the free-throw line, while the hosts built a 14-point lead and led 26-15 at the break.

“We just really struggled to score,” Clark coach Scott Humphrey said. “But I’m going to credit our kids, though. I feel like they battled the entire way. It’s just really hard when you’re struggling to score on the other end to get back and guard and those other things. I feel like we (defended). It’s just a struggle for us to score. There’s no fault on the effort, it’s just tough on us at times.”

Clark pulled to within single digits late in the third quarter, but couldn’t get any closer the rest of the contest as the Yellowjackets pulled away during the final eight minutes.

Eli Boggess paced Woodford County with 17 points to lead all scorers. Borgess scored 16 of those in the opening half. Nine Clark players entered the scoring column, but none reached double figures. JosiahIsrael and Khamarkis Blanton led the Cards with six points each.

Despite the lack of scoring, Clark owned a 38-28 edge in rebounding. Blanton paved the way for¿Clark with 12 rebounds.
