atownjoe Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 This game was not the best showing from the Panthers I've seen, but when shooters weren't all hitting, the stepped their defense up and finally started making less mistakes. Messy first half, but the Panthers got things moving and gave the home crowd something to smile about. The coach told me he was very proud of Senior Nathaniel Hargett for showing him the defense the team needed to win.
atownjoe Posted January 20, 2006 Author Posted January 20, 2006 Hardymon hit a couple 3-Pointers heading into half-time. Down by 2 i believe. The Panthers finally pulled together in the second half and got things done on the offensive and defensive side. The game was down to the wire, but Augusta hit free throws near the end to keep their lead and head on to a much needed victory clos to their Class "A" match-up against Bracken Co.
