Maybe Dixon has indeed helped the Wildcats this season and that is all we were mentioning in this thread. Williamsburg has been discussed mostly for their unwillingness to play everyone in the district, touchy touchy ......you forget I have alot of interest in Whitley County as well.

Coach Dixon has helped the cats this year not maybe, sometimes a new or different view of things in basketball can be a positive thing. South (always good) has really improved alot since Coach Denny has been there, Corbin had a hard time getting out of the district until Coach West came there, both teams ended up in Rupp last year. Those guys were a big part of Cards and Hounds getting there. Just because a coach has been around awhile don't mean he can't be of some use to the younger guys.

As an outsider looking in, I would say Coach Dixon has been a big help. Lynn Camp like all teams has their weaknesses, but they are doing alot of things more fundamental now. I still look for them to pull of an upset and advance to the region this season. All the coaches you mentioned have been around the game for many years and are all bound to know something about the game.

Pineville beat Corbin at Corbin so how could Corbin be #4 and Pineville be #7?

 

I think that CoachJaz is off a little on his rankings as Pineville and Barbourville should both be ranked higher than the Hounds, both are better.

Coach Denny will more than likely stay put til the talent runs thin at Laurel..Coach West is still early in his career and more than likely will be the boss man someplace in the distant future. From talking to him,he seems to enjoy being a Redhound as does his son who is a decent football and basketball player at Corbin Middle.

I know that he likes the teaching environment at Corbin, so I was not sure if he would be looking to take a head job or not.

From all indications Brent seems to like working with Coach Pietrowski and Coach McDaniel. They seem to have a good relationship and have settled in their respective roles pretty well. One thing about it, if you are happy with your job no need to change just for a head coaching title.
