Final from Boone County. Boone did what they had to do to win and Walton didn't play well. Nell seems to have a spell over Walton. They just can't beat her.

Walton just didnt defend very well. It was a good Boone D that shut down Walton's bigs with smaller defenders especially numer 24 she played well down low on D for Boone. If I'm not mistaken, I believe that Sandlin (one of Walton's bigs) had 26 pts. I wouldn't quite call that "shutting them down". Walton missed too many easy shots and that's what cost them the game. Also, Walton's point guard got in early foul trouble and had to sit alot. The freshman Ison scored 11 pts. and played well. Walton will be okay, but this is one they should have won.

At one point Sandlin had 22 of the team's 30 points. Maybe a little more balanced scoring would have helped. Also, Boone missed the front end of three consecutive bonus Ft's only to get the offensive rebound. Very odd way to end the last minute or so.

Yep, like I said, Walton didn't play well. They better clean this up because their schedule doesn't get any easier.

Walton's 19 turnovers hurt them more than anything, in my opinion. You can't have all those empty possessions and give Boone the ball. What Walton gained in the rebounding category, they lost with turnovers.
