The Northern Kentucky Athletic Directors Hall of Fame will induct 14 new members on November 8, 2012. The Class is an outstanding one stretching from the 1950’s to 2000. Tickets are available til October 25 at [email protected]

 

Wendell Rumford Dayton (1955-1959)

 

Wendell Rumford was a five sport letterman at Dayton High School in basketball, football, baseball, track and cross country. He played baseball and basketball four years, ran track three years, participated in football 2 years and ran cross country one season. He was named to NKAC All Opponent team as a senior. Wendell continued his athletic career at Henderson County Junior College in Athens, Texas where he averaged 23 points and 8 rebounds per game.

 

Those being inducted this year are Bert Capel, Jr., Mike Crittendon, Wendy Rumford Hertzenberg, Katie Holtzapfel, John Madrick, Michelle Cottrell Marston, Doug Peddicord. Wendell Rumford, Michelle Schroder, Robyn Saccone Schroeder and Mike Shoemaker. Diana Meade and Joe Frank will receive the Tom Potter “Distinguished Service Award.”
