Random thoughts:

 

If the two teams played ten times it would probably go 5 to 5.

Dixie has a fine kicker that nailed about a 35 yard field goal with plenty to spare.

Boone had to bring a Frosh with them as a back up RB as they continue to reach down the depth chart on the varsity level playing younger kids.

Dixie two platooned and involved almost all the kids on the JV in the game.

Boone moved the ball well from 20 to 20.

Dixie made the most of the turnovers in the game.

The refs blew real quick whistles in the game and in one instance the white told the Dixie staff in no uncertain terms "I am not calling that!"

I have one complaint, up 10 to 8 with about 15 seconds to go in the game and Dixie with the ball first and ten threw about a 40 yard pass. The next play they downed it and the game was over. I would sure like to hear an explanation for the long pass because it came off extremely bush league by the Dixie coaches. Anyone?
