GAME RE-CAP:

A lot of points left on the field by us. We drove to the 1 and fumbled the ball on a muffed handoff. We dropped a wide open Slant route in the 2nd quarter that would've likely would've been a TD (ended up turning ball over on downs).

Unlike last week against Riverdale (easily, the least-disciplined and least-physical performances I've ever seen one of my teams display) a tough week of practice working on toughness paid off as our defense played extremely well forcing 7 turnovers (3 fumbles and 4 picks). But again, the fact that we only scored 27 points with all those turnovers forced is just more an indictment of our poor execution on offense.

Seneca played an interesting scheme defensively that gave our guys some problems until they corrected them in the 2nd half. Watching the film shows that we could be a pretty good team offensively IF we start better recognizing things the defense is doing to us. ...but that may be a BIG "if."

** And I made an error on the stats I called in that you see above...we had TWO lost fumbles, not one.

Congrats coach. Keep getting better. Week to week.
