The Breds with not enough hits, and the Rebels capitalize on mistakes. The game starts out with Boone County going down 1-2-3 on only 3 pitches. Dallas Knotts gets the 1st two Breds to K and following a hit batter a pop out ends the 1st. The BC 2nd opens with 2 fly outs to center, then a single from Graham and Wisniewski reaches on an error, but McCarthy flys out to left to end the inning. The Breds 2nd sees a one out single to right from Taylor Burkart, Michaela Ware hits into a FC, and Hannah Jones hits a slow roller to 3rd an the throw is wide at 1st. With runners on the corners and 2 out, Knotts gets a K to end the threat. Boone gets the 1st run of the game in the 3rd. With one out Dallas Knotts sends one to left that just escapes the glove of Taylor Burkart in left and Knotts does not stop till she crosses the plate for a solo homerun. The Breds threaten again in the 3rd. Meghan Millard reaches on an error and moves to 2nd on a groundout of Casey Kohls, she moves over to 3rd on a passed ball. Rachel Hardesty hits one back to Knotts who looks the runner back, but is unable to throw on to 1st. Then Paige Immegart hits one to shallow center and Stein makes the catch and is on the money at the plate to get Mallard easily. BC gets another run in the 4th on a dropped 3rd strike as Johnson is able to just get under the tag on the return throw at the plate. The Breds get a leadoff single from Kristin Schreiber in the 4th, but that is all. BC gets a leadoff walk in the 5th, but nothing follows. The Breds get their only run of the game in the 5th when Millard walks, reaches 2nd on a passed ball, Kohls is hit by a pitch, both runners move up a base during the strikeout of Hardesty, then Immegart hits one between 1st & 2nd that "dies" in front of the grass, Millard scores easily, but 1st baseman Jenna Johnson nails Kohls by a "country mile" at the plate to end the inning. BC gets 2 more in the 6th. Wisniewski and McCarthy each single, but Grau is out for stepping on the plate on a bunt attempt(2 down). Wisniewski steals 3rd and the throw goes into leftfield and she scores, Knotts singles, and Maines hits one down the line in left to score McCarthy, but Knotts is "cutdown" at the plate on the Burkart to Ware to Schreiber play at the plate. NewCath gets a one out Burkart walk in the 6th, but that's all. BC scores one in the 7th as Jenna Johnson doubles to plate C. Kreimer. The Breds get a leadoff single from Loren Zimmerman in the 7th and after she moves to 2nd on a groundout she is "caught napping" and is picked off, the next batter pops out and that's your ballgame.

The NewCath JV (17-1-1) suffer their 1st loss of the season as BC scores 5 in the 7th to win 5-3.
