Basketball season for 2012/2013 should provide another exciting year. What should we expect from Villa Madonna? Remember, please be constructive.

Well, they were 17-14 last year - I wouldn't call that too exciting. They only lost 2 seniors, so they should have good returning talent. Their biggest wins last year were over Scott and Dixie Heights, with the latter getting revenge in the playoffs. I say they will win a couple of more games than last year. Villa is a small, small school that can beat the bad teams, and get beat by the good teams.

Their 2 seniors from last year were not starters. Villa has a successful girls bb program considering there are only about 160 total students in the high school. They made two regional appearances in the past three years. They did have more than 2 big wins last year. Their key player and the one to watch is senior point guard, Allie Hennard. She is one of 4 returning seniors, but the only starter. I think they might surprise some people this season.

Allie is only one of two players from the D-III conference named to the Enquirer All Star team last year, who is returning this season. She will be the key to thier season. She will also be a candidate to contend for player of the year in the conference.
