Scott Knochelman Memorial Tournament games have been canceled due to rain

Featured Replies

The Knochelman Tournament games, that were to be played today, have been canceled and these games will not be made up.

Hopefully the young man from Conner who slid into the fence along the first base line will be okay!

If indeed a Conner fan has any updates on the young man, please let us know how he is doing! You hate seeing a kid being wheeled into an ambulance and taken to the ER after getting hurt in a game, no matter who he plays for. Our prayers are with him and his family.

The CovCath vs. Conner game was called in the bottom of the 2nd inning with CovCath leading by a score of 4-0 with 2 outs and the bases loaded with Schneider coming to the plate.

Thank you for asking. Conner's first baseman is Jake Williams.

When he slid into the fence, he hit the metal pole and tore a large gash in his right shin. It was 9cm by 2.5 cm.

He received numerous internal stitches and 13 staples to close it up. And of course he'll be out for an undetermined amount of time.

If anyone has an update on Brady Reese please post that as we are also obviously concerned about his health.

Thanks.

.

I don't know Jake but he seems like a fun kid. When Conner/CCH played at Dixie some of the Crazies were having fun with him. Unlike the Conner mom who came over to chastise the Crazies Jake seemed to be enjoying the banter. He even came up to the fence after the game and had some fun with the boys.

My kind of kid.

Hope he returns soon.

100% in agreement......I was in the booth when he was hurt at CCH and saw the whole thing. You have to love and respect a kid that puts it all on the line for his team and goes strong to a foul ball with no regards for himself.

Heal quickly and get back on the diamond soon .

I was one of the ambulance crew members who took this fine young gentelman to the hospital that morning. the short little time i was with him i can tell you he is a outstanding fine person and a trooper. the wound he suffered was very nasty looking and he had a smile on his face the whole time,he even had the nurses laughing at him in the er. his parents ought to be very proud they have raised a very good young adult.
