Highlands 10 Conner 10

Game called after 7 innings due to darkness.

HHS got out to an early lead and then withstood a Conner rally (fueled by some wildness from the HHS pitching staff) to avoid the L.

HHS worked out of a 2 out, bases loaded jam in the bottom of the 6th with a strikeout of the Conner leadoff hitter to keep a 1 run lead.

Big blow was a solo HR by Conner's cleanup hitter on a 3-2, 2 out pitch in the bottom of the 7th to tie it up.

Birds stand 1-1-1 after 3 games with a day off today and a home game against Bellevue tomorrow at Highland Park.

Solid effort on the road by the young Bluebirds.
