The 14th region hasn't produced a state champion since 1956. Gone are the days of Morton Combs and Goebel Riter. The leadership and overall talent level is at an all time low. Expectations end at the regions boundaries. The winds of change must sweep over the region or another 60 years will lapse without a state champion. You cannot accept mediocrity and expect winners. The name of the game is efficiency at all levels from officials to school administrators. All young athletes should leave a program better equipped to become successful.
