Not a parent of a soccer player at all. Just like good high school sports. I apologize if I was too rough as I only saw the second half after watching the first half of the CCH/Beechwood game. CC did play very well and the keeper was outstanding. Just the impressions of a old man.

3 shots on goal for CC and NDA could not finish on over 20 shots. Selfish play by the freshman and sophomores on NDA WILL cost them a shot at a State Championship this year. Playing like you do in U15 and U16 club ball does not cut it in high school at a varsity level. It's a shame that girls are playing their hearts out and get no help from the younger players who consistently blame others and don't hustle but instead hang their heads and give up when they are not involved. If they are not the ones who are scoring then they don't care!!!

I agree that NDA should win if they stay healthy and continue to play as a team. A lot of young talent that can tend to be selfish at times and haven't been through the pressure of the region and state tournament yet. Interested to see if their coach can keep them focused for the next few weeks. Big test vs Campbell County on Saturday.

NDA has to get out of the region first and then LexCath or Scott County in the first round. Not as easy as it sounds. 9th region always steps up with a chance to beat Notre Dame on the line.

NDA plays CC in their senior day on Saturday. I'm sure there will be a recognition of the CC seniors if it follows what has been done in years past.

NDA 6-0. A parent finally whispered in his ear and he stopped. Rest of the Cooper fans were very classy with the exception of the one student. Senior night at Cooper and they honored their 3 seniors as well as announcing the NDA seniors and presenting them with a carnation. Field out there is very rough. Would not want to play there after a few more football games.

They didn't arrive in a limo but did leave for lunch after the game in the limo. Next Saturday is senior day at NDA but also CCH Homecoming so it wouldn't work out next week. Paid for by senior parents for the senior athletes as a way to say thank you for 4 years of hard work.

Schuh had surgery on her shoulder. No details but not looking good for the rest of the season.

Was at a girls game last night and did not see the side official make one call the entire game. He deferred to the center official every time. Not sure if he was new or not confident in his abilities. Could be good or bad depending on how you look at it as the center ref was not always in the best position to make some calls. No glaring bad calls but in that case it's just a matter of time until that lack of confidence or ability costs a team a goal or game.

Hard to tell from the stands but Zimmerman hit her head and looked a little unsteady coming off the field. Schuh looked like a possible shoulder injury. Injuries happened in two seperate collisions. Hope both are ok.
