  1. Has anyone heard anything about the regrading of the field. It sure would have been nice to have had that done during that long stretch of good weather we had in April.Maybe they are waiting until july, when it is so hot that grass can't grow. I don't mean to sound so sarcastic but it seems as though someone dropped the ball.Do we need to find another contractor or does someone just need to put some pressure on the one we got?
  2. So whats the deal with Zach Meenach. Does anybody think he has what it takes to be the qb?
  3. Every year we hear that Raceland has lost a lot of their starting lineup due to them being seniors and they don't know who will step up,but you guys always seem to have a good team. This tells me that you have a good, well coached program. Best of luck this year except when in battle with GCHS.
  4. I was told yesterday that everyone is still coming on friday nite to get the field ready.
  5. I know Grayson has been working real hard.He has been put in about 8wks in at the speed program at the SOMC LIFE CENTER this winter. He has dropped about 15lbs. and is running a 5.2 forty yd. dsh.I look for him to improve even more before season starts. Keep up the good work Grayson.
  6. Just wanted to clarify my earlier post.I was meaning that he was with the old regime and old habits are hard to break. Mullins is a fine young man and with Coach copley working beside him , he will do just fine.
  7. Mullins . Oh. I guess Coach Copley will have to teach work ethic to more than just the kids.
  8. I agree and I hope that is not going to be the case. All that does is get the parents in an uproar and the kids a bad attitude, and not to menton it doesn't make gc get any better.
  9. I guess we will see if he is the boss or not. There was quite a few prospects that didn't show up today. I wander if it will be the same old song and dance. Dodge all the hard work and show up on game day.
  10. I beleive coach copley will have to make these decisions, and is very capable of doing so.I agree we need to have a great number of kids to come out for football more is always better. I also believe in the kids that we ended with last year and that we can win with them. We had a good group of freshman and sophmores and with the handful of juniors and seniors that spells success, but that's only if they are willing to work hard, unlike the past. I hope coach copley doesn't allow kids to play that aren't putting in their time, that doesn't teach our kids nothing. LIFE IS ABOUT WORKING HARD FOR WHAT YOU WANT. NOTHING IN LIFE IS HANDED TO YOU.
  11. That's interesting. I would have thought that all the area Middle School coaches would have at least been notified.Seems to me , it's been closed to the wrong people,or just they don't plan on making a non-bias decision.
  12. Where is the Middle SCHOOL football meeting to be held? Will it still be held even though school has been cancelled?
  13. When will the new coach get to start? Some things need to start right away ,we are falling behind every day he is not here.
  14. I don't think we need anyone coming back to Greenup that has transfered out and turned their back on Greenup . You have to have a level of trust and respect with your teammates and I think it would be to hard to gain that back.:idunno:
  15. I believe the defensive line can shut then down .:fight: I'm staying behind my boys for the win . Go GC:ylsuper:
